What Is a Psychiatric Service Dog (PSD)?

A Psychiatric Service Dog (PSD) is trained to assist with a mental health condition by performing specific tasks. Examples: interrupting panic attacks, grounding during anxiety, or reminding you to take medication.

What Makes PSDs Different?

Housing protection included

Training is required

Your dog must be task-trained to ADA standards. You can train the dog yourself. A professional trainer is not required.

Broader legal protection
